Welcome

Céad míle fáilte to the website of Ballyheada National School, a welcoming and vibrant primary school located in the heart of Ballinhassig, Co. Cork.

At Ballyheada NS, we are dedicated to providing a happy, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. As a co-educational Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Cork and Ross, we aim to foster the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical development of each child, inspired by Christian values and respect for all.

We are proud of our strong sense of community, where teachers, Special Needs Assistants, pupils, parents, and our Board of Management work together to create a school where every child is valued. Our committed and professional staff strive to deliver a high-quality education that meets the needs of all students, ensuring that every child feels supported, respected, and empowered to grow.

In addition to our mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class, we also provide a dedicated special class, offering tailored support for children with autism. Ballyheada NS welcomes pupils of all faiths and none, embracing diversity while celebrating our Catholic ethos.

We encourage active partnership with parents and value their role in enriching the school experience for our children. Our vibrant Parents’ Association contributes greatly to the life of the school, organising events, supporting initiatives, and fostering a sense of belonging for all families.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We hope you find it a useful resource to learn more about our school, our ethos, and the many opportunities we provide for our pupils.

Should you have any questions or wish to learn more about Ballyheada NS, please do not hesitate to contact us—we would be delighted to hear from you.

Le gach dea-ghuí,
The Staff and Board of Management
Ballyheada National School
